[Wrapped in shining paper with iridescent ribbons, the package is both unassuming and suspiciously neat considering the wear and tear creeping in around the edges of Verdance Bluffs. Folded inside a small gold envelope is a type written note:]

[Inside, Alex will find a small glass orb. It's clear, upon first glance, but holding it up to townsfolk will change the cast and cloudiness of it. When looked through towards a sinner, the orb will turn red and clouded. When looked through towards a pure individual, it cast will turn blue

When looking at himself in the mirror, the orb flashes white.]
